The development of the economy inevitably represents the city of the development, then the agriculture population tends in the decrease, the village translates into a city. The our country divides the city scale of standard:if The population is subter-100,000, then it is a small city; if 100,000-500,000 it is a moderate city; 500,000-1,000,000 is a big City; above 1,000,000 is super city. The population is already 170,000,000 people with the quickly rising of small city in China. However, the reasonable programming of the city and the reasonable construction of the living environment is laggardly. People is working hard to rush at middle-class family. But understanding that improves a living environment is not enough. Urban residential areas is the cell of the city. If people want to creat the living environment of the high quality, they have to attain a few targets as follows:1. the convenience of life and work;2. the convenience of the outdoor activity and social intercourse;3. safe feeling;4. the special features.Residential green space is the main place of the outdoor activity, An important standard that measures to the live environment quality is the size and the quality of the green ground. This text mainly takes the theories of the behavior, mental state…etc. as to guide, these theories include:The space and environment theories; The person's behavior layer, behavior gathers and behavior control; The basic demand of residential area; The usage of format tower psychology in landscape design; Abraham Harold Maslow mankind behavior'need theories. All these provide the theories basis for the research of the behavior and the mental state in the design of residential green space. In the aspects of practice, I make detailed research on the residential green space of ZHANG JIA JIE City. These investigations include green coverage, vital statistics, tree categories, ratio of green space, average green coverage and people's satisfied degree, observe various behavior in activities, children's interst in games, old man's activity. The problem of exist mainly is ignoring human mental state, being short of movable space, the planting design is monotonous, the function cent area isn't definite. Moreover, this text analyze the humanistic design in great quantities of examples of residential green space design, such as the person's movable space, planting design, the edge processing etc. The investigate and analysis think much of the park for children and the old. Because greatly part of currently residential green space design have no consideration of their mental state and the behavior. Pass the comprehension toward the theories analysis with a great deal of inquisition of the fulfillment, this text put forward that residential green space should be humanistic from the following aspects:The relation between environment, behavior and mental state; The observation and the estimate before design; Suggesting the public participation; Confirming the design intention; feedback and refining after fulfillment. Refining our design language and promoting our design principle from a great deal of theories. This is the aim of this text research.
