Considering the indistinct density of maize planting and the problem of the half ineffectiveness of the yield potential for various seeds in area of Full Coverage Double-Ridge, six maize hybrids (Funongl,Jinkai2,Shendan16,Xianyu335,Zhengdan958,and,Wuke2) were selected as the experiment material, the effects of five plant density (45000,52500,60000,67500,75000,82500plants/ha)on growth and development, morphological and photosynthetic characters, dry matter accumulation and partitioning, and yield were studied on, these results could be used as consultation of evaluation of density-tolerant property. The results were as follows:1.Under the Full Coverage Double-Ridge in dry land area, plant-type of plat had highest yield at 75000plants/ha and plant-type of erectophile had the highest yield at 80000plants/ha. With the increase of the planting density,,100-grain weight, amount of seeds per ear, economic index,grain/leaf ratio and basal internode were descending, while the ratio of the balding is increasing.Between the different plant-type, there exist obvious differences of the basal internode.2.Under the Full coverage Double-Ridge, dry matter accumulation of single plant of different plant-type were increased by Logistic. The effect of density on dry matter accumulation of single plant was showed after the Huge bell bottom stage. Before it, it grows in a very slow speed, but after it, the dry matter of filling stage would accumulate fastly. The influence of the density on the accumulation of the single plant mainly reveals after Huge bell bottom stage. After the Huge bell bottom stage, the accumulation of the single plant decrease with the increase of the intensity in the same breeding period. With the approach of the breeding time, the dry matter of population and the accumulation of the single plant moves in almost same pace, the accumulation of the dry matter of population also increase with the increase of the intensity in the same breeding period. The nutrition organ of the maize TR of the various type don't have a regular change with the increase of the intensity, but they sharps with the increase of the intensity in a lower intensity, and decrease when they achieved the maximum. The MR maximum of the same seeds were tassel, then stalk and sheath. And the TR of the stalk is high, while the tassel is low.3.Under the Full coverage Double-Ridge, The influence of the density on the leaves of the single plant mainly reveals after Huge bell bottom stage. The leaf area of the single plant have the different sensitivity to intensity in different breeding period. There was an obvious difference between the leaf area and the intensity in silking stage and the filling stage, the respective numbers are as followings:-0.964,-0.980. The leaf area for each plant and the intensity had a negative correlation in mature period, but the difference were too evident. The LAT of the various seeds show a single peak with the approaching of the breeding time and achieve the maximum during the heading and silking stage. Before this period, the index of the leaf area of the same seeds increase when the intensity rises. From the heading and silking stage to the mature period, the index of the leaf area decrease with the approaching of the breeding time in different pace. The ratio of the light show a sharp reduce with the increase of the intensity after Huge bell bottom stage. The plant-type of plat decrease most between 45000-52500 plants/ha, while the plant-type of erectophile was between 75000-82500 plants/ha.4.Under the Full coverage Double-Ridge, the intensity would affect the use efficiency of the maize water, the plant-type of plat can achieve its best usage of the water in the intensity of 67500 plants, while the plant-type of erectophile was in, this was samed with highest yield density.
