The physiological indicator of twelve kinds of colorful plants(Prunus cerasifera f. atropurpurea,Prunus×cistena,Prunus persica Batsch. var. duplex Rehd,Ligustrum×vicaryi,Forsythia suspense(Thunb.)Vahl,Sophora japonica L.,Acer mono Maxim,Ginkgo biloba,Liriodendron chinense(Hemsl.) Sarg,Cotinus coggygria Scop.var.cinerea Engl,Diospyros kaki L.F.,Rhus typhina Nutt)in Baoding city were tested,furthermore,the amounts of carbon fixation and oxygen release,temperature-lowering and humidity-raising,Dust blocking of these plants were studied.It provides the theoretical basis for plant planning,colored tree species selection and resources allocation rationally.1.There are many differences among the twelve kinds of colorful plants in terms of leaf area index.The maximum is Sophora japonica L.to 5.49,and the minimum is Forsythia suspense(Thunb.)Vahl ,to 2.38. The Total leaf area of individual Plant are 43.32m2 and 6.38m2 respectively.The Leaf area index is also relevant to the situation of plant growth,the tree shape,the size of leaf ,dense degree and so on.2.The net photosynthetic rate,the amounts of carbon fixation and oxygen release of the twelve kinds of colorful plants was different from each other from May to October.As follows,Sophora japonica L., Cotinus coggygria Scop.var.cinerea Engl, Prunus cerasifera f. atropurpurea, Prunus×cistena,Prunus persica Batsch. var.duplex Rehd had the strongest ability of photosynthetictic,carbon fixation and oxygen release among the twelve trees.The quantity of fixing carbon and releasing oxygen are 16.02 g·m-2·d-1and 11.65 g·m-2·d-1.The next is Cotinus coggygria Scop.var.cinerea Engl to 15.68 g·m-2·d-1and 11.40 g·m-2·d-1and the lowest is Forsythia suspense(Thunb.)Vahl to 6.53 g·m-2·d-1and 4.75 g·m-2·d-1.3.Twelve kinds of colorful plant showed different ability of temperature-lowering and humidity-raising in 5 to 10 months.After clustering is divided into three categories (1)Sophora japonica L.,Prunus×cistena, Prunus cerasifera f. atropurpurea, Prunus persica Batsch. var. duplex Rehd (2)Cotinus coggygria Scop.var.cinerea Engl, Diospyros kaki L.F., Ligustrum×vicaryi (3)Ginkgo biloba,Rhus typhina Nutt, Liriodendron chinense (Hemsl.) Sarg.,Acer mono Maxim,Forsythia suspense(Thunb.)Vahl.The strongest ability of temperature-lowering and humidity-raising is Sophora japonica L. in the whole growth period of the tree.The quantity of humidity-raising ,heat-absorbing and temperature-lowering are 2747.09g·m-2·d-1,6635.01KJ·m-2·d-1,0.44℃and the lowest is Forsythia suspense(Thunb.)Vahl to1003.82g·m-2·d-1,2425.47KJ·m-2·d-1and 4.75 g·m-2·d-1.4.Prunus cerasifera f. atropurpurea,Prunus×cistena,Prunus persica Batsch. var. duplex Rehd has the high ability of dust blocking ,Photosynthetic capacity and Carbon fixation and oxygen release;Sophora japonica L. and Cotinus coggygria Scop.var.cinerea Engl has the lowest ability of dust blocking,but has highest Photosynthetic capacity and Carbon fixation and oxygen release. The analysis of the dust blocking ability of the colorful plants prove that the dust blocking of plants in a certain extent influences the photosynthetic rate and the ability of carbon fixation and oxygen releas.5.The leaves of three purple leaf species appear regreening phenomenon with lowing of the content of anthocyanin in the leaves significantly reduced,so the best foliage period is in May,June and September; Sophora japonica L. is in May and June;Ligustrum×vicaryi,Forsythia suspense(Thunb.)Vahl, remain bright golden throughout the growing season in a suitable environment;Ginkgo biloba,Liriodendron chinense (Hemsl.) Sarg.,Cotinus coggygria Scop.var.cinerea Engl contain more carotenoids and present to yellow in autumn;Acer mono Maxim,Diospyros kaki L.F.,Rhus typhina Nutt present to red with content of pigments rising and anthocyanin reducting. The net photosynthetic rate of Ginkgo biloba,Liriodendron chinense (Hemsl.) Sarg.,Diospyros kaki L.F.and the contents of pigments shows a significant positive correlation.
