The study of PRLR gene in the mouse and local varieties sows show that this gene have the effect on sow maternal behaviors. In order to explore the effect of PRLR gene on sow maternal behaviors,we expanded the scope of the studied species.Yorkshire,Duroc, Landrace×Yorkshire,Yorkshire×Landrace. PCR-restriction fragmentlength polymorphism technique (PCR-RFLP) was applied to analyze single nucleotide polymorphisms of PRLR gene and binomial regression was used to analyzed the relationship between maternal genes and maternal behavior traits. The study of PRLR gene provided basis for maternal gene and maternal behavior .Results showed:In order to clarify the effect of different gene genotypes and different species on maternal behavior. PCR-RFLP technique was applied to to analyze single nucleotide polymorphisms of PRLR gene in Yorkshire, Duroc, Landrace×Yorkshire and Yorkshire×Landrace. The results showed that PRLR gene had no significant associations with five maternal behavior traits(P﹥0.05),and different varieties had no significant associations(P﹥0.05).
