The brand "ZHONGNANHAI" has strict quality requirement for Zhejiang oriental tabacco, and the chemical components of the local tobacco are not stable among years. We took chemical components, feeling quality, and economic trait as assessment indicator, and focused on the key technologies of Zhejiang oriental tabaccol. The results we got are as following:1.We studied the rules of development, nutritation deposition, and quality forming for Zhejiang oriental tabacco. This study can be used as theoretical principle for management of oriental tabacco's scientic cultivation. The increasement of leaf number and the deposition peak of leaf dry matter are always at period of 35 to 65 days after transplanting for both varieties Samsun and Canik. It is 35 to 80 days after transplanting for the increasement of stem height and the deposition peak of lead dry matter for Samsun, while this period is 35 to 65 days for Canik. Compare to Samsun variety, Canick grows faster in early period due to its thinner leaves and quicker maturing. Canik is not suitable to plant in this aera, since its growing period is shorter than that of Samsun's and its upground dry matter deposition is lower than that of Samsun's. The absorption time of nutrients for Zhijiang oriental tabacco is that it's peak at 35~65 days after transplanting, a little bit nutrients absorption at 65 to 80 days, and trace absorption after 80 days.2.We studied the effect of amount of N-fertilizer applied on development, physical metabolism, productivity, and quality of oriental tabacco, pointed out the big amount of N-fertilizer application is the major reason for high N-metabolism, lower sugar, and high alkali in tabacco leaves. We defined the amount of N-fertilizer application:amount of 112.5 kg/hm2 to leaves is good to improve the productivity, to raise the price, and to increase the output. The amount of 67.5 kg/hm2 applied to middle leaves is best for the feeling quality and 112.5 kg/hm2 is best for the up leaves.3.We studied the effect of different timepoint of top-cutting on the oriental tabacco quality, pointed out early top-cutting is one the reasons that caused high content of nicotine in up leaves in this aera and one of the reasons for thicker leaves, for the compact tissue, and for the bad burn property. We definded it is better to cut the top at period of floweringstage for higher productivity and better feeling quality.4.We systemically studied the effect of different maturing stage of "SHAMUXUN" brand on the changement of physiology and biochemistry and the effect on quality, figured out the standard for harvest the oriental tabacco leaves:green leaf surface, yellow leaf tip, bright main vein. If we harvest the leaves later than this standard, it will be worse for both appearance quality and feeling quality. If we harvest the leaves earlier than this standard, it will cause higher content of anthocyanidin, worse frangrance, and worse aftertaste.5.We studied the changement of physiology and biochemistry in the process of modulation under different wither timepoint and different equipment, and its effect on quality. We further improved the modulation technology for local oriental tabacco:in rainy years, we should wither the leaves for 1 to 2 days before exposing them to sunshine, fix color quickly, and dry the stem slowly, in order to protect the leaves from lowering the sugar content, darkerning, worsening oil, and quality losses caused by slow water loss. In dry years, the tabacco leaves should be kept in modulation room for turning yellow under certain moisture after withering them properly, to fix the color slowing under sunshine, to dry the stem quickly.
