There are many fruit ripening mutants in tomato, rin (ripening inhibitor) is one of them. It inhibits the maturity of all the relevant phenomena and is widely used in the breeding of longer shelf-life cultivar in tomato.Tomato often suffer a variety of diseases infection, particularly tobacco mosaic virus, Fusarium wilt, root knot nematode, leaf mold, etc., which caused serious damages in production. In this study, with the marker-assisted selction technology, we pyrimded multiple disease resistant into elite inbred lines. We hybridize the inbred lines in different combinations, then compared and choose the excellent combinations. The main results were as followings:1.According to the sequence, specific primers were designed, and one breed with the green colour was conducted having rin gene. The results showed that 850 bp bands were amplified and there was no band in conventional varieties.2. Some inbred and disease-resistance lines have been selected, identified with the molecular maker selection from the imported tomato materials.By pyramiding breeding, Some F6 generation containing rin, Tm-2a,1-2, Mi-1 and Cf-9 were obtained with the aid of the molecular marker assisted selection. And then, the elite inbred lines selected from segregation population of crossing elite inbred lines.3. The materials is the multiple disease resistant variety Keepsake#3275 (F1), and the gene-assisted selections was applied. The young seedlings were selected agaist the markers(Tm-2a,1-2, Mi-1 and Cf-9). To F6 generation, we obtained two inbred lines with four disease resistance.
