ObjectiveThis study aims to through clinical contrast study of different needle retaining time of acupuncture in the treatment of functional constipation, to further explore the time of retaining needle and acupuncture for treatment of functional constipation effect relationship, looking for the best needle retaining time, further improve the curative effect of acupuncture in the treatment of functional constipation.MethodsThis study adopts randomized controlled experiment, will meet the inclusion criteria of the 60 patients according to the inclusion order are sequentially numbered, according to random number table method, divided into two groups, each group was adopted with clinical commonly used combinations of acupoints and the same acupuncture manipulation, respectively,30min and 60min received treatment for 20 times. Before and after treatment were used constipation score table of Cleveland Clinic score (CCS) and constipation patients quality of life questionnaire patient assessment of background quality of life questionnaire, (PAC-QOL) as the observation index, on patients’defecation and constipation patients quality of life for quantitative evaluation, and to evaluate the overall curative effect after treatment, income data by statistical processing and analysis, in contrast with different needle retaining time of treatment effect.Results(1) Two groups of patients before and after treatment CCS score, PAC-QOL evaluation of the differences were statistically significant, the two groups after treatment CCS score, PAC-QOL evaluation were significantly lower (P<0.01);(2) There were significant differences in CCS scores between the two groups after treatment, which showed significant difference between the two groups after treatment (P< 0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment (PAC-QOL), the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05);(3) The total effective rate was 87.10%(30mm),93.10%(Group) and two (60min), respectively, and there was no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05).Conclusion(1) Two groups of patients after 2 courses of treatment, the differences were statistically significant, suggesting that acupuncture treatment of functional constipation;(2) In the two groups of patients after treatment in PAC-QOL and total curative effect comparison revealed no significant difference, suggested that the current is not that differences in the time of retaining needle for acupuncture treatment of functional constipation clinical effect. But from the point of view of the trend of these two indicators,60min group in the total efficiency is higher than that of needle retention 30min and 60min group in PAC-QOL scores improving is better than 30min group, also after treatment, the patients in the two groups of CCS score differences exist statistical significance, which can be seen in 60min group for constipation clinical symptoms improved significantly better than 30min group. However, considering that the sample size of this study is relatively small, it may be the case cover, and the representative of the problem, if the number of the study sample, may be a new research results appear.(3) Combined with the present situation of our country’s medical and health resources, according to the results we can see that the left needle 30min in efficacy can ensure the treatment effect, also can treat more patients with constipation at the same time, effective to meet more demand for treatment, worthy of clinical reference.
