Objective; The study is to explore the superiority and clinical efficiency of traditional Chinese herb with western therapy, by observing the clinical curative effect observation and recurrence rate of he wei shu gan decoction on Liver-Stomach Heat Accumulation. Methods: 85 cases with gastroesophageal reflux disease which were diagnosed as Liver-Stomach Heat Accumulation, were divided into two groups according to the order:treatment group(45 cases) and the control(40 cases). The treatment group were treated by "he wei shu gan "decoction and PPI, the control group were treated by PPI. Both the two groups were treated by 8 weeks., Then the two group’s indicators of total symptom score and the clinical symptom score, adverse reactions were observed and compared before and after treatment, using SPSS 17.0 statistical software to evaluate the clinical efficacy and follow up the recurrence.Results:1. the cardinal symptoms of the two groups:both groups’integral of cardinal symptoms were obviously reduced after treatment. The integral of cardinal symptoms of treatment group is lower than control group. Each individual symptom integral is reduced after treatment than before. Except the retrostemal pai、heartburn, the other cardinal symptoms integral were reduced more in treatment group.2. the efficacy analysis of the cardinal symptoms of the two groups:The treatment group, sixteen cases were cured,15 cases were markedly effective,12 cases were effective,2 cases were invalid, the total effective rate was95.6%, the markedly effective rate68.89%。the control group,5 cases were cured, ten cases were markedly effective,19cases were effective,6 cases were invalid, the total effective rate85%,the markedly effective rate37.5%.the treatment group’s total effective rate is similar to the control group’s. But, the markedly effective rate of the treatment group is higher than the control group.3. the total effect of the cardinal symptoms of the two groups in different course of treatment:the cardinal symptom integral of treatment group is lower than control group at the 4th、8th week. And the reduced integral of treatment group is higher than control group at each course of treatment. The efficiency of traditional Chinese herb with western therapy is better with the increase of course of treatment.4. the total effect of the TCM symptoms of the two groups:the total efficiency of the treatment group is 93.33%, the control group is 77.50%. There is obvious difference between treatment group and control group.5. Each individual secondary symptom integral comparation of the two groups: Except constipation, all the other secondary symptom integral were reduced in both groups. There is no efficiency of constipation in control group. The efficiency of belching、abdominal fullness、irritability、bitter taste in treatment group is better than control group。6. The recurrence rate of the two groups:The treatment group of 6 cases relapsed after 1 months, the recurrence rate was 6.97%,11 cases of control group of recurrence, the recurrence rate was 20.59%, there is a big difference in recurrence rate between the two groups. Conclusion:This study shows that "he wei shu gan" decoction collecting PPI is better than PPI in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, especially in remitting the clinical symptoms, and has a better curative effect in constipation-, stagnation、hiccups、taste bitter、irritability. The study also shows that the treatment group is better in reducing the recurrence rate. All above, "he wei shu gan" decoction collecting PPI is worthy of further popularization and application.
