Meanwhile a questionnaire survey was involved to reveal the realization and the will for dental care of the interviewees about their malocclusion. A full analysis of the records and the statistics of the investigation carried out by using SPSS13.0.Results:1ã€IOTN(1) DHCratingsStudents who don’t need orthodontic treatment are 528 which account for 51.6%in the total number according to DHC ratings. Students who need orthodontic treatment explicitly are 232, which account for 22.7% in the total number. There are no significant statistic differences in chi-square test on the number of people between different genders in the same level(p>0.05).(2) AC ratings Studentswho don’t need orthodontic treatment take up the largest number(619,60.6%) on the contrary to those who clearly do not need orthodontic treatment(69,6.7%). There are no significant statistic differences in chisquare test on the number of people between different genders in the same level(p>0.05).2ã€SAC rating Through statistics conclusions can be draw in SAC that subjects who don’t need orthodontic treatment account for the largest number(935, 91.3%), and those who clearly do not need account for a smaller number( 22, 2.2%). There are no significant statistic differences in chi-square test on the number of people between different genders in the same level(p>0.05).3ã€The analysis of the questionnaire results The Chi-square test on the need of orthodontic treatment focusing on the income and education level among different families showed that p is greater than 0.05 on the average. There are no significant statistical differences.Conclusion:1ã€there is a relative high demand for orthodontic treatment among teenagers in Zibo district but the patients’ subjective need is relative low.2ã€There is a close relation between the realization and the objective need of orthodontic treatment.
