MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are small, non-coding RNAs, 18–23nucleotides(nt) in length that regulate gene expression posttranscriptionally by base pairing with target mRNAs in the3’-untranslated region(UTR). mi RNAs are widely involved in a variety of physiological and pathological processes and abnormal expression of miRNAs are closely related to tumor development. MiR-1915-3p is one of the members of the family of microRNAs discovered in recent years.Previous studies indicated that miR-1915-3pexpression is dysregulated in many tumorsSuch as pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer and breast cancer.MiR-1915-3p is associated with a variety of tumor cell proliferation and drug sensitivity through regulating the expression of CD133, PAX2, TLR2 and BCL- 2.Cell apoptosis and cell proliferation, the basic phenomenon of life, is to maintain the dynamic balance basic of cell number in the body.Apoptosis confers advantages duringembryonic development by remove excess and completed the mission of cells.Apoptosis guarantee the health of the body by removed pathological changes of aging cellsin adult stage.Cell apoptosis is the same precise process of gene regulationas cell proliferation. As everyone knows, mortality of lung cancer is at top of all tumors’ lethality. Each year in the whole world about 1.3 million people die fromlung cancer, and its incidence rate is still increasing sharply. The fundamental problem that we faced with curing lung cancer is our understanding of lung cancer’s morbidity and drug resistance is extremely limited and far from enough. Inducing and formation of tumor is a complicated heritable variation process which caused by polygenes participation. In recent years, through data analysis of lung cancer tissue and gene expression profile of lung cancer cell line, we found that numerous genes(2585) are closely related with lung canceration. We could make more precise molecular subtyping, early diagnosis and evaluation of prognosis based on the data.Another great discovery has came to light in cancer research field in the past decade, non-coding micromolecule RNA(mi RNA) which has regulating effect on lung canceration. At present, about more than 200 mi RNA proved to be related with lung cancer pathology. Gene expression profile of lung cancer and miRNA data analysis and research is being helpful in further understanding of lung cancer’s morbidity and drug resistance, provided a new target spot for lung cancer genetic diagnosis and clinic treatment. In this study, we examined the role of miR-1915-3p in etoposide(VP16)-induced apoptosis of lung cancer cells. Mi R-1915-3p was shown to prevent VP16-induced cell apoptosis. Further investigation revealed that developmentally regulated GTP binding protein 2(DRG2) and pre-B cellleukemia homeobox 2(PBX2) were direct and functional targets of miR-1915-3p. Moreover, DRG2 and PBX2 can partly neutralize the H441 and H1650 cells apoptosis prevented by miR-1915-3p. Thus, miR-1915-3p may have a potential therapeutic application for cancer therapy.
