Purpose:To study the relationship of Neuropeptide Y(NPY) and Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)with occurrence and maintain of frequent premature ventricular contractions.Material and method:Selected 46 cases of elderly patients with complete clinical data from December 2013 to July 2014, the First Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Cardiology outpatient or inpatient treatment patients. Divided into two groups based on clinical diagnosis, in which 23 patients with frequent premature ventricular contractions, 23 patients with sinus rhythm.Patients in the fasting state were vein blood in the morning, Centrifugal serum,Determination of expression levels of NPY and HIF-1 in serum by ELISA,Groups were compared the expression levels of NPY and HIF-1 alpha in serum of patients,At the same time, research the relationship between the expression level of NPY and HIF-1 in serum.Results:1. The expression level of NPY in frequent premature ventricular contractions group was significantly higher than that in sinus rhythm group(0.527±0.0365)vs(0.455±0.0676)(P<0.05),frequent premature ventricular contractionss group showed statistical significance compared with the sinus rhythm group.2. HIF-1 alpha expression level in frequent premature ventricular contractions group was significantly higher than that of sinus rhythm group(0.466±0.0531)vs((0.380±0.0629)(P<0.05),frequent premature ventricular contractions group respectively compared with sinus rhythm group were statistically significant.3. The expression levels of HIF-1 and NPY in serum were studied by correlation analysis, discover the expression levels of HIF-1 and NPY in serum were positively correlated. Conclusion:Neuropeptide Y and hypoxia inducible factor-1 alpha Play an important role in elderly patients with frequent premature ventricular contraction in the occurrence and maintenance of process.
