1.Objective:Through establishing Wistar rat skeletal muscle micro-damage, then gavaging Astragalus and Angelica decoction to rats to explore the effection of the traditional Chinese medicine on skeletal muscle damage and muscle recovery in different time.2.Experimental Methods:we used Wistar rats as experimental materials, the weight of a similar group of rats were randomly grouped into quiet, sports groups and sports+medicine groups,each group has seven rats. The immediate group of sport+ medicine groups were treated with Astragalus and Angelica decoction (4ml/day) about one week before killed. The immediate group of sport+medicine group and the immediate group of sport groups were treated with normal saline(4ml/day) about one week. The 24h/48h/72h group of sports+medicine were treated with Astragalus Angelica compound liquid at the 12th time after eccentric exercise. The sports medicine groups and the exercise groups were killed in immediately,24h,48h,72h time.Rats were anesthetized by intraperitoneal sacrificed after blood through the aorta, and then test the gastrocnemius muscle tone in vitro semi-state, the last measured CK-MM, IGF-1 concentrations.3. Results:3.1 Compared with the quiet group, the exercise group muscle mass is always less than the quiet group (p<0.05), the sports+medicine group is always greater than the quiet group of muscle mass,and the muscle mass of sports+medicine groups is always higher than the exercise groups. The immediately state of exercise groups, muscle mass is less than the quiet group,24h showing muscle mass decreases, increased after 24h. At the 72h, muscle mass is close to quiet group; sports+medicine groups, muscle mass from immediately state to 24h show a downward. Then muscle mass increased tendency to 72h.3.2 The muscle force of exercise group and exercise+medicine muscle group is less than the quiet group of rats in the immediately state and 24h state, n the 48h state, the muscle force of exercise group was significantly less than the quiet strength group (p<0.05). While sports+ medicine groups quiet has little difference with the quiet group.At the 72h, here had not significant between quiet group and exercise groups, sports+ medicine groups was significantly greater than the quiet muscle groups.3.3 The sports+medicine groups and exercise groups compared with the quiet group, the serum CK-MM contention in immediately,24h,48h state are greater than the quiet group. Sports groups and sports+medicine group at 24h state, serum CK-MM was significantly higher than the immediately state, and sports group was significantly greater than the movement+medicine groups (p<0.05). In 72h state, the serum CK-MM contention, exercise group was significantly greater than the quiet group (p<0.05).Sports medicine group and the quiet group has little difference (p>0.05).3.4 The IGF-1 contention in rats of exercise groups and and the sports+medicine groups, the IGF-1 concention has yet to return to normal levels at the 72h. The sports+medicine groups, the IGF-1 contention were significantly higher in the 48h, and significantly higher than the exercise group. The contention returned to normal levels at 72h.4.Conclusions:(1) Astragalus and Angelica decoction can increase muscle weight and promote muscle recovery.(2) Astragalus and Angelica decoction can make blood CK-MM concentration in the smaller rate of increase and has a protective effect on skeletal muscle injury.(3) Astragalus and Angelica decoction can increase the amount of IGF-1 in skeletal muscle, and play a role in skeletal muscle regeneration process.
