Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Cough Variant Asthma With Wenfeihuayu Drinks

Background:Cough variant asthma (CVA) is a common and frequently encountered disease of children, which is the main disease of chronic cough among children in our country The stubborn and irritating cough, commonly worsening at night or (and) in the morning, is its main clinical manifestation. For the past few years, featured with high incidence, and the difficult treatment, if the CVA is not timely treated,it can be easily developed into a typical astlima (CA).More than that, long-term illness will affect children’s growth. No term named "cough variant asthma disease" exists in TCM ancient books, but according to its clinical symptoms of refractory and irritating cough, CVA belongs to the category of traditional Chinese medicine called "cough". In recent years, from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM),we cure the disease by getting rid of wind and phlegm,stopping cough and releasing lungs as the main treatment rules. Meanwhile, we also adopt the method of internal and Chinese medicine medicinal broth, attached with acupuncture treatment. However, there are a large proportion of children whose cough symptoms haven t obviously relieved after treatment with routine western and Chinese medicine therapy. From the observation of some children, most are characterized by cold air attacks, thin white sputum or departure with cold limbs, pale tongue fat is cold like. Despite syndrome differentiation,this syndrome belongs to the cold drink in lung syndrome. Wenfeihuayu drinks can warm lung and phlegm, with the circulation of goods putted in, it can obtain a satisfied clinical effect.Objective:Having observed the clinical curative effect of the children who have taken the Wenfeihuayu drinks of CVA of the my tutor professor Yin Dan. After building control group,compared to meng LuSi sodium,my objective is to verify the effect of Wenfeihuayu drinks of HanyinFufei type further and broaden the clinical path.Clinical observation methods:The clinical observation objects are people who suffer HanyinFufei type of cough variant asthma. The children taking Wenfeihuayu drinks belong to the treatment group, while the ones taking meng LuSi sodium belong to control group.The treatment group has 30 cases and control group has 26.Observe two groups of patients’cough level,cough time,sputum, the dry throat or pharyngeal itching symptoms, nasal itching or sneeze symptom, the shape to cold, cold extremities and thirsty symptoms,complexion dull,dry throat,thirsty symptoms,the tongue and pulse,when they have taken drugs after 7 days,14 days and 21 days,besides, compare two groups of children with general symptoms and integral difference of individual symptoms, and then analyze the data with the method of statistical analysis.Clinical observations:1. The total effective rate comparison:after 21 days with clinical application, total effective rate of the treatment group is 93.10%, while control group’s total effective rate is 80.77%. The result of two groups has statistically significant (P< 0.05), illustrating that the effectiveness of treatment group is significantly higher than the control group.2. Total symptom integral comparison:both the treatment group and control group can improve patients’ clinical symptoms after taking drugs at 7 days,14 days and 21 days. The clinical curative effect of Wenfeihuayu drinks is superior to singulair. So compared with singulair,the Wenfeihuayu drinks has a better clinical effect.3. Each individual symptoms integral comparison:after 21 days, both single symptoms of the treatment group and control group have curative effects. In the observation period, within 21 days of sputum, nasal itching or sneeze symptom have improved. The curative effect of Wenfeihuayu drink is always better than singulair; Having been taken after 7 days, as for the improvement of degree of syndromes, like cough time and complexion dull, drugs were similar in both groups. After 14 days and 21 days, the clinical effect of Wenfeihuayu drink is better than singulair; After taking 7 days, as to the effect of improving the dry throat or pharyngeal itching symptoms, Wenfeihuayu drinks is better than singulair; At 14 days and 21 days,two groups’ effect of improvement of pharynx GanYan itching symptoms, are similar. After 7 and 14 days, the Wenfeihuayu drinks’ effect of the improvement of the shape to cold, cold extremities and thirsty symptoms, is better than taking singulair. After 21 days, the improvement of the shape to cold, cold extremities and thirsty symptoms,two groups were similar;At days of 14 and 21, the Wenfeihuayu drinks’ effect of the tongue and pulse condition is better than singulair.Conclusion:Wenfeihuayu drinks, compounded by my tutor professor Yin Dan, is commonly used in curing HanyinFufei type of CVA. After clinical observation, treating the HanyinEufei type of CVA, the effect of Wenfeihuayu drinks is superior to western medicine singulair. It shows that the use of Wenfeihuayu drinks can raise the clinical curative effect of CVA overall. Aiming at obtaining better treatment effect, Wenfeihuayu drinks is worth popularizing in clinic which will benefit many more children.
