Purpose:Insomnia is a common clinical disease of somnipath y. People spend nearly 1/3 of life sleeping to ensure the norma 1 and stable situation of the various physiological functions o f their body. Shortness of sleep often leads to dysfunction of c entral nervous system, especially cerebral cortex, and affects pe ople’s life activity. Now western medicine is the most widely use d clinical treatment of insomnia, but it is often accompanied b y addiction after a long-term use, which leads to many people’ s resistance to such therapy. While troditional Chinese medicine h as a long history of treating insomnia. "Miraculous Pivot" say s:"Wei Qi, which operates in Yang in the daytime, while in Yi n at night. So people go to sleep when Yang runs out, while wa ke up when Yin’s used up. " It als says, "When Wei Qi cannot i ntegrate into Yin and stays wit(?), Yang often, Yin Qi will b e deficient, then insomni(?). occures. " Based on these theorie s, my tutor Prefessor Yang Guohua suggests that sleeping and awak ening is a physiological phenomenon as a result of the operatin g of Wei Qi, and people should be energetic in the daytime an d sleep soundly at night, while when there is an ebb and flo w or imbalance in Yin and Yang, people will suffer from insomni a or somnolence. Prefessor Yang Guohua proposed that we cure inso mnia along the time rule. On the basis of years of clinical exp erience, Prefessor Yang refers that insomnia treatment is not onl y to regulate human viscera function of treatment based on syndro me differentiation theory, but also to drug conditioning before be dtime. She drafted a decoction named Shunshi Anshen Tang to promo te Yang into Yin, which is adapted to the special time in eveni ng, to help patients fall into sleep faster. The author provide d a new thread for clinical Chinese medicine treatment of insomni a according to tutor’s clinical experience and after the observati on and assessment of the clinical curative effect, of treatment o f insomnia and treatment based on syndrome differentiation and eva luation and the improvement of insomnia patients with depressio n, anxiety or other negative emotions. Methods:The insomnia patients who met the inclusion criteria wer e divided into A, B, C three groups by random digit grouping me thod,30 cases each group at least. Patients in group A were tr eated by treatment based on syndrome differentiation and treatmen t conform to nature, while group B by treatment based on syndrom e differentiation, and group C by western medicine. The course o f treatment was 14 days. There were three observation points afte r medication:the third day, one week later and two weeks late r. Patients’general information, medical history, PSQI score, anxi ety score and other datas were recorded. In statisties, descriptiv e statistical analysis and qualitative indexes were described by f requency table and percentage; if the quantitative indexes had me (?) the normal distribution, they would have been discribed by mea n ± SD; if they had not met the normal distribution, they wo uld have been discribed by percentage. All the statistical analysi s were tested by two-side hypothesis, and the standard in both h ypothesis testing was setted a=0.05, which meant that the disp arity of the test result would be considered to have statistica 1 significance while P≤0.05. All of the datas analysed by SPS S 19.0 statistical softwarepackage, P<0.05 sugggested there bein g a significant difference. Results:the total effective rate of group A was 81.3%, which wa s higher than group B 77.4% and lower than group C 83.9%. Th e result showed obviously that the group of traditional Chinese m edicine treatment had curative effect on insomnia, and the clinica 1 efficacy of the group of treatment based on syndrome differenti ation and treatment of the clinical was better than that of trea tment based on syndrome differentiation group only, which proved o ut that the thread of the former was feasible. In anxietv seal e, the improvement of group had been better than that of grou p B since the third day of treatment, and the difference was st atistically significant (P<0.05), which showed the higher improvem ent of the group of treatment based on syndrome differentiation a nd treatment conform to nature in the self rating anxiety seal e than that of western medicine group. Conclusion:There was an exact curative effect on insomnia t o combine treatment based on syndrome differentiation and treatmen t conform to nature, and the group of treatment based on syndrom e differentiation and treatment conform to nature made higher impr ovement than that of western medicine group in the self rating a nxiety scale. The report provided a new thread and method for Ch inese medicine to cure insomnia and to improve its complication o f anxiety.
