| Object: To investigate the expression of Bak protein and Bax protein in normal mouth mucosa, or al lichen planus, oral leukoplakia and oral squamous carcinoma mucosal tissue and the correlation between cell apoptosis and the occurrence and development of oral mucosa lesion.Method:30normal mucous membranes,60oral lichen planus tissue (30white stripes types and30erosion types),30oral leukoplakia tissue (each of the3subgroups of light, moderate, heavy at ypical hyperplasia has10cases),30oral squamous cell carcinoma (each of the â… grade, â…¡ grade, â…¡-â…¢ grade has10cases) have been selected to assay by immunohistochemical staining. In situ D NA nick end labeling (TUNEL) was used to label theapoptotic cells and detect the lymphocytic apoptot ic indexes of normal mouth mucosa, oral lichen planus, oral leukoplakia and lamina propria of oral squamous cell carcinoma mucosal tissue.Result: The positive rates of lymphocytes infiltration band of Bak protein and Bax protein increase d successively in normal control group, oral lichen planus of white stripes types and lamina propri a of oral lichen planus tissue of erosion types. In the lamina propria of oral leukoplakia, the expre ssions of Bak protein and Bax protein decreased as the cell paraplasm levels increased. The positiv e rates of lymphocytes infiltration band of increased successively in tissue lamina propria of grade â… , grade â…¡, intergrade â…¡ to â…¢ of oral squamous cell carcinoma. The differences were not signifi cant between Grade â…¡ and intergrade â…¡ to â…¢ of squamous carcinoma (P=1.56; P=2.33), the oth er differences had statistical significance (P<0.05). Oral mucosa precancerous lesion occurrences an d the cell apoptotic indexes of oral squamous cell carcinoma tissue were significantly higher than t hose of the normal mucosa control group, and their progression of disease and the deterioration of lesion development gradually increased. There were no significant differences between the statistica1analysis of grade â…¡ and intergrade â…¡ to â…¢ of squamous carcinoma groups (P=1.01), but there were statistical significances between the other groups (P<0.05).Conclusion:The expressions of Bak protein and Bax protein in oral lichen planus and oral squa mous cell carcinoma tissue show a tendency of increase with the aggravation of the disease progre ssion. In oral leukoplakia, the expressions of Bak protein and Bax protein decline as the paraplasm levels increase. As the aggravation of the pathological changes of oral tissues, the apoptotic index es present an obvious increasing trend. |
