There is a study of physiological ecology characteristics of winterness turf-grass under controlled soil moisture in semiarid area (Hohhot) by the evapo-pervasion apparatus and anti-pervasion pool from May to September in 2005. The indexes include evapo-transpiration, leaf water content, chlorophy content, free proline content, anti-oxide enzyme activities, croteniod content, MDA content, coverage ratio, height, leaf biomass, root biomass, till number and so on.Then we make such conclusions as follows through the evapo-pervasion apparatus experiment:There is evidence dissimilitude among above-ground biomass under four different water condition and there is obviously restrain at turf-grass height, leaf biomass, root biomass, coverage ratio and so on when soil water content arrived at 20~40%FC(D). And there is no evidence dissimilitude of turf-grass ecology characters between 60%~ 80%FC and 80%~100%FC soil condition. The most sensitive physiology index is free proline content to different soil water content among 5 kinds of physiology indexes of turf-grass. Second is leaf protecting enzyme activities and POD activities that is boosted up from A to D. Followed are leaf water content and MDA content, while SOD activities and Chlorophy content are less sensitive physiology indexes to the soil moisture in this study. The potential evapo-transpiration of turf-grass is 7.2mm which is higher than the average level. July is the crest-time of irrigation water using of turf-grass which is lowest at September. The evapo-transpiration of turf-grass is obviously reduced with...
