The market demand is great for rapeseed, between whose supply and demand there is a huge gap in our country. The method of chemical male-sterilizing gotten rid of the dependence on sterile gene, will bring up a brand-new revolution to the use of heterosis. The male sterilizing experimentation of two new chemicals, Huashaling and glyphosate, is carried out in rape ,with Xiangyou No.15 as the treatment object, for the studies of its effect and mechanism. The main context is as follows:1 Experimental methods and observational items. There are five treatment stages: the first stage, there is 10% of the plants in whose stems the biggest flower buds are 2mm long; the second 50% and the thirst 100%; the 4th stage, the biggest flower buds of stems in all; the 5th stage is 5 days after, when the biggest flower buds of stems in most plants are 3mm long. Huashaling is sprayed at the first three phases, multi-times allowed, and in the higher three concentrations in 2005; But, In 2006, it's treated with at the 4th phase and in the other four lower concentrations; At the same phase, GA is added into Huashaling solutions in the concentration of 1:90 in four grade quantities. there are four concentrations and two phases, the 4th and the 5th, in the glyphosate treatment, multi-times allowed also, followed by the observations of plant growth, floral traits, pollen activity, plant fertility and fruiting and male sterilizing mechanism.2 Studies of plant growth reveal, that the 4th phase treatments of Huashling in 1:140-1:90 do litter harm to the rape growths so that their heights are 123.8-137.6cm, above 90.7% of check height, and that GA of 0.139% mixed by Huashling in 1:90 promotes the growth in partial plant, and that glyphosate does much harm to rape figures in double treatments.3 Observations of floral traits indicate that Huashaling consistently and significantly decreases the growth and size of stamen, but in lower concentrations lightly increases the growth and size of corol and pistil. It's proved that stamen is more sensitive than other parts of flower to Huashaling.
