| Crop germplasm resources, known as crop genetic resources, is one of the important components of biology diversity. Crop germplasm resources provides substance necessary for human being's survival, reproduction and development and ensures the sustainable development of agriculture. Crop germplasm resources has been recognized the most valuable and strategic treasure of a state. However, the conception on the value of crop germplasm resources has not formed in China, and the reasonable price system of crop germplasm resources has not been established. Consequently the irrationality phenomena that crop germplasm resources is valueless , raw material has low price and product has high price have existed for a long time, and this phenomena will badly sway the protection and sustainable use of crop germplasm resources, so that a state's food safety will be threatened directly. This thesis systematically studied the value classification of crop germplasm resources and its valuation in connection with the project of "the study of valuation and property right protection of agricultural biological germplasm resources" supported by Ministry of Science and Technology. With understanding the basic theory and methodology in crop germplasm and resources economics, crop germplasm resources, its value property, value classification, value connotation and valuation methodologies, the valuation principle of crop germplasm resources has been put forward, and the valuation models constructed. Therefore the basic valuation system of crop germplasm resources has been established.According to the principle of valuation of crop germplasm resources, the direct use value for a wheat germplasm, Ai Meng Niu has been assessed. Final result indicates Ai Meng Niu produced about RMB298 million annually during 1983-1992.These results indicate that the models and methods generated in this thesis can be used to quantify the value of crop germplasm resources, and provide a fundamental base for the property right protection and management of crop germplasm resources. |
