Study Of Crude Alfalfa Polysaccharide On Broilers' Growth And Immunity

To study the effect of alfalfa polysaccharide on broilers'growth and immunity, we did four experiments.Experiment one: The alfalfa materials we boiled with water, precipitated with alcohol to made the alfalfa polysaccharide, we also determined the content of polysaccharide in alfalfa abstract.Experiment two: Twenty four 21-day-old and 39-day-old Avian broilers were used to evaluate the effects of alfalfa polysaccharide on the nutrient digestibility. The chicks were assigned to four treatments. Four treatments were:basal diet,added with 0.5%,1% and 2% crude alfalfa polysaccharide respectively.The results indicated that the addition of 1% alfalfa polysaccaride could improve the nutrient digestibility on the growth latter.Experiment three: One hundred one-day-old Avian broilers were used to evaluate the effects of alfalfa polysaccharide on the performance. The chicks were assigned to four treatments. Each treatment had 30 birds. Four treatments were added with 0.5%,1% and 2% alfalfa polysaccharide respectively, treat four were basal diet. The results indicated that addition of 1% crude alfalfa polysaccharide could improve body weight gain.Experiment four: We select twelve 21-day-old,35-day-old and 42-day-old broilers and slaughtered to study the effect of crude alfalfa polysaccharide on the immunity in broiler's body. The results indicated that 1% crude alfalfa polysaccharide adding to the feed of the broiler could improve the weight ratio for thymus and bursal and spleen. Along with the increasing added crude alfalfa polysaccharide , IgA,IgG,IgM were increased.Conclusion: The appropriate amount of crude alfalfa polysaccharide adding to the feed of the broiler could improve the growth performance and immune organs development.
