| Taking the finished WWF Protected Areas Grant Project as an example, this paper carried out project management research based on modern project management theory and methodology, aiming to solve the problems encountered during the project implementation and try to summarize the lessons in order to help for future works.For the integration of the project management, this paper added three important stages to complement the project contents, they are project startup, project popularization and project termination. According to the requirements of the project management, we founded special project office, set up a team and formulated work breakdown structure. Based on the work breakdown structure, we had a detailed analysis and description of the scope, schedule and cost of the project. On general, this paper proposed a relatively integrated and practical management report aiming to formulate an effective management pattern to guide the future projects.Chapter one introduced briefly about the Jilin Provincial Protected Areas Grant Project including the nature situation of Jilin province, the WWF and its working fields, the present situation of Protected Areas in Jilin and the analysis of project contract. And in this Chapter, problems encountered during project implementation were summed up and the idea to carry out project management research was proposed. This Chapter also provided an important process for managing projects. And this paper was sticking to the process.Chapter two identified the objectives of project and its management, added three main project stages of project startup, popularization and termination.
