Abstract/Summary:
Super oxide dismutase (SOD), an anti-oxydase, is a scavenger offree oxy-radical (O2-) with a clear chemism due to its capability ofcatalyzing reactions with a free oxy-radical on the substrate. Thefree radical is closest related to the disorder body as it is the primarydestructive molecular in metabolism of human body.This assay focuses on the research of abstraction, isolation andpurification of SOD to utilize a great lot of slaughtered animal bloodat the maximum level in order to solve the problem of mass bloodpollution brought by centralized slaughter as well as to ensure thehealth of human beings. In our research, a stable technical processwhich could be amplified in production has been chiefly establishedby changing the sediment of formerly used organic solvents (such asacetone, ethanol chloroform., etc) in abstraction and by discardingsome extreme methods such as column chromatography in isolation.Here the main techniques are the utilization of inorganic solvent(cupric chloride) in abstraction which produces primary liquor ofSOD in high yields and the denaturing sedimentation of ethanolammonium sulfate which contributes to high specific activity of theproduct of SOD. Compared with former methods, inorganic solventinstead of organic one in abstraction provides a shorter producingperiod and a lower cost and has no poisonous side-effect. Theoperability has been raised as the bottleneck of large-scale productionlimited by column chromatography has been conquered. After agreat deal of research in lab, it has been successful in industrializedproduction with a favorable stability and has made a great coup in thesolution of mass blood resource.
