Zizania latifolia Tvircz is one of the unique aquatic vegetables in China, which is divided into two types: the single cropping type and the double cropping type. They have been widely planted in Jiangsu and Zhejiang province. In recent years, the conflicts between agricultural development and industrial development are getting more and more prominent with the pace of country urbanization speeding up. As the main industrial crop in the countries of southern china, its growth conditions related to ecological environment attracts more attentions from the planters and customers. Ecological environment includes two parts: man-made environment and natural environment. In this paper, we studied the resistance of Zizania latifolia Turcz to linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS) and biochemical changes analysis in different harvesting dates on the single cropping type "Meirenjiao" and the double cropping type "Zhejiao991". The results were reported as follows:1 Resistance of Zizania latifolia Turcz to anionic surfactant linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS) : Under different concentrations of LAS (10, 100, 1000 mg-L~-1) treatment, the growth, chlorophyll content and antioxidant system activities in the leave of 'meirenjiao' at different periods were studied, as well as the relative residue in the plant leaves and soil. The results showed that lower concentration of LAS (10 100 mg-L~-1) enhanced the chlorophyll content, while the growth and photosynthesis was seriously inhibited by higher concentration of LAS (1000 mg L~-1 ) . The activities of APX and CAT increased observably with the lower concentration of LAS, while the activity of POD declined evidently at the higher concentration of the LAS. The contents of MDA increased firstly and then descend with the different concentrations at different periods and increased in direct proportion to the concentration. The contents of LAS in the plant leaves descend firstly and then increased with the different concentrations at different periods. The contents of LAS in the soil constantly increased under higher concentration of LAS. Zizania latifolia Turcz - soil System had the stronger power of degrading LAS compared with just the soil environment.2 Biochemical changes analysis in different harvesting dates on the single and double cropping types: Temperature and illumination are the key factors for Zizanialatifolia Turcz growth. The contents of soluble protein increased firstly and then declined on "Meiranjiao" and "Zhejiao991" ( summer cropping and autumn cropping ) on different harvesting dates. The content of reducing sugar decreased as a whole;The content of sucrose kept a stable level during the early stage, then increased rapidly;The trends of total soluble sugar content and starch content are opposite: the total soluble sugar content of "Meirenjiao" increased gradually, while its starch content decreased;the total soluble sugar content of "Zhejiao991" (summer) gradually decreased, while its starch content increased;the total soluble sugar content of "Zhejiao991" (autumn) increased during the early stage, then decreased remarkably, while its starch content decreased, then increased. Among the three types of Zizania latifolia Turcz: completely swelled, medium swelled and little swelled, medium swelled type has the best quality on the carbohydrate and soluble protein contents;The soluble protein and starch content of "Zhejiao991" (autumn) is much lower than "Zhejiao991 "(summer) and "Meirenjiao", while the reducing sugar > sucrose and total soluble sugar contents is higher evidently. "Zhejiao991 "(summer) and "Meirenjiao" represent certain similarity because of the similar temperature and sunlight, which determines the nutrient component contents, however, the trends of these are almost different own to varieties and planting methods. Compared with "Meirenjiao" and "Zhejiao991", the contents of the sugar on "Zhejiao991 "(autumn) is higher. The natural environment in October and November is more suitable for Zizania latifolia Turcz growth and swelling.
