It is realizable that the fine leveling off the farmland with the technic controlledby laser. It is also the base of the modern irrigated farming. The fine leveling off thefarmland is one of the important preconditions to improve the performance of groundirrigation system. It is also one of the fundamental steps to enhance the water qualityof ground irrigation system.Taken into account of the current water resource shortage in China, therefore, it iseven one of the important solutions to maintain the constant development of thenational economy by. To research and develop a new equipment is therefore imminent.The leveling off the farmland by laser control is a further development of thetraditional mechanical method.Replacing the eye visualisation from operator of the machine, this technologyuses laser to control the height of rising and falling of hydraulic shovel.The article gives detailed research on towed laser controlled scraper, including thematching design of the traction, laser control systems, hydraulic systems andmatching design and structural design of scraper.The article also assesses the commercial implication of the laser controltechnology. By the end, the article discusses the theory and practice of popularisingthe scraper. Through case studies, the article explains the economy and social benefitfor agriculture by saving water and increasing productivity.
