The principal contents for China's agricultural modernization are to develop the mechanization of the forage production and technology of the informationization in management. The research on the data platform and information management system of alfalfa the mechanization production is of theoretical significance and practical importance.The agriculture structure in China is in the process of transforming from a dual structure of "grain crop - cash crop" to a triple one of "grain crop -- cash crop -- fodder crop". Further more, the author develops the "data platform and information management system of alfalfa mechanical production". The system contains databases of various types of equipments for the alfalfa mechanical production, including modules of system maintenance, data maintenance, integrated data inquiry, equipment data inquiry and report forms printing, which bears instructive significance of theory to the alfalfa mechanical production. This system enables the effective administrations to databases and assists the users to find the needed information of equipments, natural resources in different production areas, types of forage grasses resources, companies etc. Accompanied by vivid pictures and words, this system is surely of great application importance to the grassland supervising departments, alfalfa production departments and related research institutions.
