The wood surface is not merely the first impression of the vision sense.much chemistry and physics reaction happen in it.Effect of wood surface on chemistry and physics reaction outclass wood material noumenon. No matter wood or wood /plastics composites which in vogue,surface properties and reaction are emphases.Discuss wood surface properties,going on this premise,it can be used better or applied to cultivation and real product after ameliorating pertinently.The paper research on Eucalyptus planted,measuring wood color and wettability of 8 E-urophylla X E-grandis genealogies,3 Egrandis genealogies,4 E-cloeziana genealogies,5 E-pellia genealogies,analyzing variation among genealogie,among clones,among individuals,in different height between sapwood and heartwood . Discuss correlation between surface free energy and roughness,between surface free energy and structure charater .Result shows the distribution of value L* and b* are relative convergence;distribution of wood color parameter a* of different specise are reverse,have a great variation;there are significant variation in wood color of Eucalyptus among genealogies,among clones;among individuals,having no significant variation of E-cloeziana. having sinificant variation of wood color of E-grandis genealogies E-urophylla X E-grandis clones;wood color of Eucalptus Significant variation exists in height.The total surface free energy of E-grandis is 32.05mN/m, E.cloeziana is smaller than it E-urophylla X E-grandis is 30.83mN/m as the smallest one;there are a litter discrepancy of non-polarity free energy among genealogies ,among clones .non-polarity free energy rang in 12.22~ 13.38 mN/m;polarity free energy rang in 15.52~20.49mN/m.Orderliness exist in surface free energy in height.There are same variational trend exist in surface free energy in height of Egrandis genealogies ,of Ecloeziana genealogies;to E-urophylla XE-grandis,it only exist in part of genealogies,smallest surface free energy at fifth segment.There are significant variation among surface free energy of Eucalyptus among genealogies ,among clones.To E-cloeziana it is at 0.05 level;to Europhylla X Egrandis genealogies E-urophylla X E-grandis clones E-grandis genealogies it is at 0.01 level.Having no significant variation exist among individuals of E-cloeziana genealogies E urophylla X E-grandis genealogies Europhylla X E-grandis clones respectively;there is significant variation at different level among individuals of E-grandis.
