In the past few years, during the process of new agriculture technological revolution, researches of the "Precision Farming" have been paid much attention. With the practice and development of Precision Farming, man will fully make use of the potential of farmland, reasonably utilize water and fertility resources, avoid pollution of the environment, and greatly improve the yield and quality of cops. It is the main direction of sustainable development in the new age, and is the important research which will boost agriculture revolution in the 21st century.Precision Farming originates from the realization of the tempo-spatial diversity of farmland status. Its main goal is to adopt individual management according to field diversities, reach optimization, and improve efficiency and benefits. The first thing is to collect field information, process data, and properly describe the field status. At present, there's a long way before real-world application of Precision Farming. The system needs support of multi-disciplines, like Agronomy, Agriculture Engineer, Mathematics, Economy and Computer Science. Based on a project from the Ruijing Park — Demonstration Park of High-tech Agriculture, Zhenjiang City, this paper focuses on the process of farmland spatial information and its application.FGIS software package, mainly targeted agricultural GIS system, is developed. It can interfaces to GPS hardware, automatically get the electronic map of the field, plot soil sampling grids, and assist soil sampling. It can also process experimental data and generate soil maps. Some methods of spatial interpolations are compared, and Krigging method is choosed. Then the diversities of soil properties within the test field are analyzed. A regionalized soil nutrients management model is constructed. And at last, stochastic simulation technology is introduced into the research of spatial diversity of soil properties, to assess the soil property uncertainty and risk of decision-making.
