Twelve alpacas were randomly divided into four treatments(A group, B group, C group, D group) to study the effect of CP concentration on production performance and 4 alpacas was used to study the effect of protein concentration on nutrient digestibility with 4 × 4 design of Latin square. The raising effect of different protein level, that is 10%, 12%, 14%, 16%, was been studied. The results showed as follow: (1 ) feed with 330g concentrate to the four groups every day, the intake of the mixed forage were 623.17 g/d, 784.66g/d, 702.06 g/d and 674.28 g/d respectively. Group A is lower than group B and C significantly (P < 0.05 ), group B is better than group C and D significantly (P < 0.05) .The daily weight and the transform efficiency of forage were not rised with different nutrition levels of concentrate, the concentrate which contained 12% protein is more suitable for alpacas. It is known from the analysis of the protein level's affection to the fleece quality that fleece is not growth better with the rising of the protein level, it is the concentrate contained 12% protein that is more suitable for fleece to growth. (3) The digestibility of CP in group B,C and D were better than that group A (P < 0.05). There was no significant different in group B,C and D, and that in group B was higher than that in group C and D. The digestibility of EE in group A,B,C and D was no significant different (P > 0.05 ) and that in group B was higher than that in group A and D.( 4 )The digestibility of NDF in group B were higher significantly than that in group A,C and D( P < 0.01 ). The digestibility of ADF in group A,B,C and D was no significant different (P > 0.05 ) and that in group B was higher than that in group A ,C and D. (5) The digestibility of Ca in group B and C were higher significantly than that of group A (P < 0.01 = and there are no significant different between group A and D(P> 0.05 ) , there was no significant different among group B , C and D, but that in group B was higher than that in group C and D. The digestibility of P in group A,B,C and D was no significant different (P > 0.05 ) and that in group B was higher than that in group A ,C and D. (6) There are certain changes of some biochemical indexes in blood such as total protein, urine-N, Cholesterol, triglyceride and some enzyme related, it showed that is more favorable for alpacas to Absorb and utilize the nutrition. The results of this study demonstrate that the concentrate which contain 12% protein has the best effect on fleece. The digestibility of CP, EE, NDF, ADF, Ca and P were also utilized best in this group. It can be concluded that 12% nutrition levels of concentrate could be popularized in feeding alpacas.
