| Colibacillosis caused by pathologic E.coli, is a kind of continually occurred general disease of chicken. As a pathogen, E.coli can cause illness to all aged chickens conditionally. Poor feeding and management, improper ventilation and bad sanitary condition often decrease the ill-resistance ability of chickens, and trigger off colibacillosis to chickens. In the poultry yards with good feeding, management and sanitary condition, environment pollution is slight. Chickens have strong immunity and ill-resistance ability and seldom catch colibacillosis. Accordingly the losing is less. E.coli has complex antigenic structure, and many pathogenic serotypes, which hamper the development of its vaccine. Vaccines produced at present are difficult to be popularized for their limited protective rate, short immunization life and troublesome operation. So the immunization of E.coli is still out of the immune program at many cultivation farms. In all kinds medicines used to control colibacillosis, antibiotics and sulfanilamide are effectively. In recent years, misapplication of such medicines deeply decreases their curative effect. People have to find new ways to control this disease. Many Chinese herbal medicines can effectively suppress and exterminate bacterial pathogens. Clearing away heat and toxic material Chinese herbal medicines are broadly used to prevent and cure infectious diseases on human and clinic veterinary. They are well accepted for their good curative effect, lower toxin, none side effect, little hangover and drug resistance. Based on the theory of Chinese traditional medicine, a prescription was designed, which mainly contains Chinese pulsatilla, Chinese goldthread, isatis root, dyers woad leaf and licorice root etc. After disintegration and pharmaceutics processes, 0.5%~1% such Chinese herbal medicine was mixed with feed or drinking water to prevent and cure chicken's colibacillosis. In the experiment, each chicken has taken 0.5g~3g such medicine mixed with feed or 1mL~3mL decoction mixed with drinking water per day. At different infectious stages, broilers were treated with such Chinese herbal medicine. Protective rate of prevention group is 94%, which is 14% higher than that of control group. Great difference of protective rate was found in the therapy group. The mean protective rate is 90.67%, which is 8.67% higher than that of control group. In the egg purpose and breeding chickens, incidence rate and fatality rate are 1.8% and 11.1%, which are 2.7% and 13.3% lower than that of control group respectively. In the therapy group, the protective rate is 90%, which is 7% higher than that of control group. Effective rate is 100%, which is 10% higher than that of control group. In the Sanhuang broilers, curative rate is 94%, which is 8% higher than that of control group. In the physiological diarrheic prevention experiment with chickens in summer, results show that fatal rate of test group is lower than that of control group, protective rate is 95.9%, which is 6% higher than that of control group, and the mean laying rate is 7% higher than that of control group on an equal footing. Experiments reveal that it can effectively prevent chicken's water-same diarrheal treating chickens with bio-opsonin, when the room temperature reaches to 30℃. It can decrease the fatal and elimination rate, stabilize the chickens'egg-laying ability. The effect is obviously higher than that of control group. After 100 000 colibacillosis chickens had been treated with such Chinese herbal medicine, we found that mean cure rate of perihepatitis, pericarditis, salpigitis, yolk peritonitis and mixed infection is 89.6%. All results show that the prescription of Chinese traditional medicine has better control efficiency on chicken's colibacillosis. |
