Qixia City was known for high quality apple, which has 50,000 hm~2 fruit trees, 40,000 hm~2 of them were high quality fruit products with yields of 800 million kg and incomes of 1200 million Yuan. The fruit products were support industry for a long time in the country economic. Irrigation works was the life line of agriculture, especially that of fruit products. According to the physical geography situation, hydrologic characters, and drought situation of Qixia City, carrying out water-saving projects in the 40,000 hm~2 high grade fruit fields was the necessary choice of Qixia fruit products.1. Analysis of the regional situation of water resource, climate, land and social economic situation and the utilization of water resourceThe soil layer is thin, its capability for contain water and fertilization is low, which often lead to soil losing. There are no water coming form other cities, and its water resource occupied by per person was one of third of the average level of whole country. Dry is the most popular natural disaster of this region, which happened frequently and affected widely. The potential of exploitation of water source is low. So widely using water-saving projects to improve the use efficiency of water is the right and necessary way.2. Design of model water-saving projects in small regionIn order to give out the water-saving modes, we studied the model of water-saving projects in 760 hm~2 fruit fields in Wopo town of the Qixia City. And the high standard water-saving projects system had been built for garden. The result showed that by using this water-saving system, the water use efficiency was up to 95% for pipe irrigation, 80% for flooding; water use quantity was decreased by 40%, while yield was increased by 15%.3. Give out the water-saving projects system and corresponding technologies for Qixia CityBased on the typical study of water-saving projects in Wopo town of the Qixia City, the water-saving projects system and corresponding technologies for Qixia City were given out: using pipe irrigation, tiny spray irrigation, and using the compound water-saving techniques, such as agricultural water-saving, water management, and so on. By using those compound water-saving technologies, the efficiency of water-saving and high profits would be true.
