The Analysis Of Urban Forest Landscape In Hefei

Base on the theory and methodology of landscape ecology, the author created a Geography Information System of urban forest landscape of Hefei by using the comprehensive method that combined aerial photograph identified using View GIS software and field investigation. Then the landscape index, such as patch shop index, landscape diversity, evenness was gotten and which was employed to make a more detailed and comprehensive analysis for urban forest landscape difference. This paper focused on landscape patterns of urban forest in the area surrounding with second ring road in Hefei, the capital city of Anhui province, the study area is about 98km2. The research included the classification and inquisition of landscape elements, the distribution, characteristic and the dimensions grade, the differences analysis of main landscape elements etc. The research also included the comparison of urban forest in the different directions and different land types. And we mainly analyzed the distribution, main factor characteristic of urban forest landscape patches (from four factors: the number, total area, average area, density). In addition, this research carried on the inquisition towards community structures of urban forest, and characteristics of the tree disposition of Hefei Ring Park. It also analyzed the ecosystem effect of Hefei Ring Park gallery landscape. We also investigated and analyzed two important urban forest landscape –Shushan forest park and the botanical garden in Hefei, and the avenue's afforestation in the Hefei city zone. Through the analysis, we draw the conclusion: (1) There were 1647 urban forest patches within second ring road in Hefei. The total urban forest area is 348.54hm2, and it only occupied 3.5% in the research field. The scale of the city forest was not big, and the main was distributed between first ring road and second ring road. The number and area of urban forest in the central city of Hefei was small and distributed asymmetrily, which mainly distributed in the south and around the ring park. The number and area were increased from central city to outside, but the density was decreased and the density in central city was the maximum. (2)The total area of urban forest in the ring park is 60.7188 hm2, which occupied 17.33 % of the total area of urban forest within second ring road . And it played an important role in the urban forest within second ring road. (3)The area which forest covering rate beyond the second ring road was Shushan forest park and the botanical garden in Hefei. (4) Until the end of 2002 ,the greenland rate of road in the Hefei city zone was 17.37 % and the covering rate of road's afforestation was 24.12 %,and the distribution of the avenue trees should to be improved. On these grounds, the author put forward some possible opinions by analyzing the landscape pattern of urban forest in the downtown of Hefei. Such as Protect the urban forest woodland of the center city area, develop the outer circle urban forest woodland; pay attention to the protection and the maintenance of the existing urban forest in southwest and southeast; adjust and increase the urban forest area in the northeast and northwest area; change the asymmetry distributing condition of urban forest; and encourage to use the plant design of the combine in tall tree and bush to build the urban forest system of Hefei .
