Taurocholic Acid(TCA) is a kind of tauro-conjugated bile acid which exists in many kinds of animals' bile. TCA was extracted and purified from cholecyst's bile of sheep by using the simple biochemistry techniques such as salting-out, extraction, dehydration, silica gel separation, and the qualitative and quantitative analysis of TCA were performed by using thin layer scanning and absorption spetrometer. The purity was reached to 95%, and recovery rate was 63.8%. Therefore, the method which we established in this paper was a good ways to extract TCA from ovine bile. Influence of TCA on its immunity function were tested in the paper. The results of carbons were eliminated show that TCA inhibits the mononuclear-macrophage' phagocytic capacity at high dose and low dose, and also inhibits significantly delayed hypersensitivity induced by 7% DNCB. But the result of the hemolysin test of serum show that TCA can strengthens significantly the produced of antibodies. TCA can inhibits phagocytic and cell immunological function of mice and strengthens significantly the specific humoral immunological, show that TCA have adjust effect. The content of IgG in Adjuvant artthritis(AA)were tested by uleraviolet spectrophotometry show that TCA can strengthen significantly effect the content of IgG. The content of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α in Adjuvant arthritis were tested by double antibodies ABC-ELISA show that TCA can strengthen the content of IL-1βand IL-6, but don't effect the content of TNF-α.The results show that TCA can trengthen significantly the content of cytokine that take part in the specific humoral immunological.
