Study On Lawn-special Organic Compound Fertilizer Using Garbage Compost As Raw Materials

The purpose of this article is to study on garbage compost granulating craft through manufacturing environment-friendly type of granulating binders, using thoroughly decomposed garbage compost as main raw materials. The manufactured organic composite fertilizer of high efficiency, slow-release and convenience in storage and transport can be used as lawn-special fertilizer, which offers a new way and method for the municipal garbage compost industrialization. The main research contents include: develop different granulating binders and find out the best craft parameters through nature modification test to natural starch and xanthan gum; study on granulating craft of organic composite fertilizer utilizing self-manufactured organic binders, using municipal garbage as main raw materials; do nutrient release tests to the two types of self-manufactured organic composite fertilizer grains, as well as biological fertilizer efficiency test on lawn. The result shows:(1) In the course of nature modifying in which starch and xanthan gum are used as the main binders, binder's performance can be promoted through controlling the consumption of oxidant, gelatinating agent, cross-linking agent, pH value and oxidize temperature of the system. The best craft parameters we got are: xanthan gum 2% of starch weight, H2O2 6%-10%, pH value 9-10, temperature 40-60℃, alkali 6%-8%, borax 2%-3%.(2) The XS type organic binder, manufactured in this craft, is of high stability, good fluidity, high solid content, excellent viscosity, not only no biological toxicity when consumption is lower than 10%, but also promoting the root system of wheat seeds to grow.(3) The granulating rate of XS-2 and XS-3 organic binder is more than 90%, revert rate lower than 17%, the joining amount (dry weight) is 1.5%1.8% of the supplies. The compression strength of the generated granules is both higher than the national standard (GB15063-1994).(4) N, P and K nutrient in XS-2 and XS-3 organic composite fertilizer grains releases slowly among aqueous solution, and nutrient releasing rates are all under 80% after 7 days soak. Biological tests show that both fertilizers are helpful to improve lawn quality, reduce nitrate nitrogen leaching loss and raise fertilizers utilization rate.
