Effects Of N Application Rates And Ratio Of Basic To Dressing Application On Grain Quality For Weak And Medium Gluten End-uses In Central Jiangsu

From 2001 to 2003 at two sites in Central Jiangsu province ,two special wheat varieties.ningmai 9(weak gulten)and yangmai 11 (medium gluten),were taken as experimental material to study the effects of different application N amount and ration of basic to topdressing N on grain quality and yield. And the technique of the fertilizer application of high yield and high quality was discussed.The main results were as follows:1 , Effects of different application N amount to the grain quality on weak and medium glutenThe results showed that increase application of nitrogen significantly improved protein content.wet gluten.dry gluten, sedimentation value and hardness,while decreased starch content,amylase content , ratio of amylose content to amylopectin content and peak viscosity significantly, but its effect on test weight and flour extraction of wheat grain was insignificant. The desire of quality of medium gluten wheat could be achieved by the method of 168.75~281.25kg/hm2 of application N amount. And the desire of quality of weak gluten wheat could also be achieved by the method of below 225kg/hm2.2, Effects of ration of basic to topdressing N to the grain quality on weak and medium glutenIncreasing the proportion of topdressing N after elongation stage or the stage of topdressing delayed significantly improved the nutritional quality and processing quality of wheat for weak gluten and medium gluten wheat. Increasing the proportionof topdressing N after elongation stage improved protent content,wet gluten and sedimentation value for the medium gluten yangmai 11. But the weak gluten ningmai 9 increasing grain quality by decreaseing the proportion of topdressing N after elongation. The desire of quality of medium gulten wheat could be achieved by the method 6:4-5: 5 of basic to topdressing being in the medium gluten yangmai 11 ,andby the method 7:3-6: 4 in weak gluten ningmai 9.3 The technique of high yield and high quality for weak and medium gluten end-uses in Central JiangsuWholly these results showed that the high quality,high grain yield and high efficiency for the medium gluten wheat yangmai 11 could be achieved by the optional method of 225-281.25kg/hm2 of application N amount,6:4-5: 5 of basic to topdressing and topdressing N during jointing stage,as to the weak gluten wheat ningmai 9 the optional method was 168.75-225kg/hm2 of application N amount and 7:3-6: 4 of basic to topdressing.
