The research analyses the new type cropping system used in Ningxiang county of Hunan province by studying rice paddy and dry land, through consulting the statistical yearbook of Ningxiang county in these years of 1991-2001,on-the-spot investigations, the author has extensively collected detailed materials of local main cropping pattern, has found out the production advantage, production potentiality, existing problems and development trend of the planting of Ningxiang county, and on this basis has selected out 12 kinds of representative cropping patterns to carry out energy transform benefit analysis, material cycle status analysis, economic benefit analysis and total function many-goals analysis ,and at last has drawn the following conclusions:1. From the point of energy analysis, the dropping ratio into inorganic and organic of paddy field is 1.07:1,emphasizing that inorganic and organic is equally important, the dropping ratio of inorganic and organic in dry land is 1.75:1, throwing into the inorganic mainly. Generally speaking, as the total dropping into energy increases, the output is increased accordingly, and the output mainly relies on economic products. About the system entropy value, the 6 cropping pattern of rice paddy are all minus entropy value, and only cowpea/ginger/fragrant taro pattern and maize/cabbage/pakchoi pattern is minus entropy value in the 6 cropping pattern of dry land.2. From the point of material cycle status analysis, Hunan Province Ningxiang county paddy field ecosystem mainly put into pure N, the second is to put into pure K2O, the least putting into is pure P2O5, this is because of the big amount of absorption, consumption and taking out of system of N and K2O, field ecosystem mainly put into pure N still, and average pure N' input amount has exceeded half of average total nutrient input amount, the second is pure P2O5' input amount, the least nutrient input amount is pure K2O. Looking from the nutrient cycle general amount, the average nutrient cycle general amount of dry land ecological system is more than that of rice paddy ecological system, which means that the nutrient flow intensity of dry land great, and the nutrient flow intensity of rice paddy is relatively less. Paddy field ecosystem throws fat benefit size is: K element >N element >P element, dry land ecosystem throw fat benefit size is: N element >P element >K element. Among rice paddy and dry land ecosystem, except early rice machine sow-low stakerecycled rice mode' K is usually scarce, and various kinds of nutrients of all other mode are surplus.3. From the point of economic benefit analysis, Hunan Province Ningxiang county paddy field plant mode' average materialization cost is greater than average living labor cost input, the highest materialization cost and total cost in paddy field plant mode is high-quality flue-cured tobacco-good edible rice mode. Dry land plant mode' average living labor cost is greater than average materialization cost input, he highest materialization cost and total cost in dry land plant mode is cowpeas / ginger / fragrant taro mode. The highest profit in the paddy field and dry land plant mode is separately green cauliflower-plastic film peanut-edible rice mode and coriander-coriander-lettuce mode.4. From the point of total function many-goals synthesis analysis, Hunan Province Ningxiang county paddy field plant mode' average economic function grade is 0.213, average ecological function grade is 0.466, average social function grade is 0.421; dry land plant mode' average economic function grade is 0.295, average ecological function grade is 0.212, average social function grade is 0.714. 12 kinds mainly cropping pattern' total function synthesis grade size arranges is: maize/cabbage/pakchoi>potato/maize-super hybrid ricocowpea/ginger/fragrant taro>coriander-coriander-lettuce>flue-cured tobacco-high-quality edible ricowater spinach-Brassica campestris.L-cabbage>super hybrid rice-double low rape>ch pakchoi-hot pepper-lettuce>potato-middle rice thr...
