Experiment 1: Effects of evening primrose oil and linseed oil on fatty acid synthesis conversionTwo experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of evening primrose oil and linseed oil on the composition of egg yolk fatty acids. 64 egging hens of 36-wk old were used in each experiment and were divided into 4 groups randomly with 4 replicates each group. It was concluded that dietary fatty acid content can affect the conversion and metabolism of polyunsatured fatty acids (PUFA) in body and the composition of PUFA in egg yolk. Evening primrose oil can significantly decrease the cholesterol content of the egg yolks.Experiment 2: Study on the stability of polyunsatured fatty acidsTwo experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of VitE on the stability of egg yolk polyunsatured fatty acids. 64 egging hens of 36-wk old were used in each experiment and were divided into 4 groups randomly with 4 replicates each group. It was concluded that VitE can restrain lipid peroxided reaction and product of lipid peroxide.Experiment 3: Study on the healthcare of polyunsatured fatty acidsNinety male healthy rats were divided into 3 groups randomly with 10 replicates each group.Treatments were control (feeding common eggs) and II (feeding eggs witch hens laid with 3% evening primrose oil in ration) , III (feeding eggs witch hens laid with ratio 2:3 of linseed oil and evening primrose oil in ration addition) . It was concluded that the egg that contained abundant linoleic acid and y-linolenic acid could decrease arteriosclerosis index and reform metabolism of total glycerinate.
