Integration And Application Of GIS And Cotton Expert System In 121 Farm Of Shihezi Reclamation Region Of Xinjiang

Study area is 121 Farm of Shehezi in Xinjiang.We can implement agricultural intellectual management for 121 Farm by Cotton Expert System and Geographical Informational System.One part of this paper is about the Geographical Information System (ARCVIEW). It is a tool designed to efficiently manipulate the agricultural data of 121 farm. According to the local condition, one part of this paper is focused on how to build special database of this farm. This includes two aspects:1. The special data analysis. It describes the Landsat-7 data and how to obtain and process the remote sensing image of 121 farm by ENVI software (remote sensing processing image software).2. The special database design. It describes how to organize the layer and build the themes methods. At last we can obtain the different crop areas and land using areas.Another part of this paper is about Cotton Expert System (COTTON2K). We can manage cotton production by COTTON2K. This part is mainly about how to build the database of the cotton expert system and the variety parameter calibration.Although there are few problems when we run COTTON2K, the system is still fit for the north of xinjiang for cotton management. The integration and application of cotton expert system and GIS are very useful and reasonable. In the future it will bring a large economic benefit.
