The healthy Chinese mitten-handed crabs (Eriocheir sinensis) were artificially infected with the germ-free tissues, which originated from the moribund crabs suffering remble Disease in Jiangsu region. The inoculated crabs(BYI) became ill with the similar clinical signs and died after 10 days i.p.. By the same way ,another healthy ones were inoculated with BY1 and re-ocurred (BY2) .Under electron microscope ,the thin sections of nervous tissue and liver cytoplasm of the diseased crabs presented a number of spherical virions about 55 65nrn in diameter.
