In the experiment, drought-resistant cultivar wheat .Jin wheat-33 and drought-sensitive cultivar wheat ii wheat -38 were used as materials to study effect of 6-BA and KT on quality of wheat grain under the condition of drought and four treatments were set up: (1) Wheat normally irrigated during flowering period (CKI); (2) Wheat not irrigated sprayed foliage with water during flowering period (CK2), with relative water content of soil (SRWC) decreasing gradually as evaporation and transpiration (from 76% to 40%); (3) Wheat not irrigated sprayed foliage with 6-BA (105mo1 ?L? during flowering period, with relative water content of soil (SRWC) decreasing gradually as evaporation and transpiration (from 76% to 40%) and (4) wheat not irrigated sprayed foliage with KT (105mo1 eL? during flowering period, with relative water content of soil (SRWC) decreasing gradually as evaporation and transpiration (from 76% to 40%). After harvest the wheat was examined accounding to International Grain Chemical Institute Criterion (ICC) or National Criterion to observe if grain quality and yield of production could be sustained and raised under the condition of drought by spraying 6-BA and KT on leaves. The results showed as following: (I) Drought made content of protein in graham flour decreased compared with CKI. Under the condition of drought spraying 6-BA on leaves caused content of protein in graham flour increased compared with CK2. The effect of 6-BA on un wheat-33 was similar to that of ii wheat-38. (2) Drought made content of gluten, sedimentation value in flour decreased compared with CK1. Under the condition of drought spraying 6-BA on leaves caused conten of gluten in flour of ii wheat-38 increased compared with CK2. Drought made sedimentation value in flour decreased compared with CK 1. Under the condition of drought spraying 6-BA and KT on leaves caused sedimentation value in flour increased compared with CK2. The effect of 6-BA was stronger than that of KT. The effect of 6-BA and KT on ii wheat -38 was stronger than that of un wheat-33. (3) Drought made activity of a -amylase in flour decreased compared with CKI. Under the condition of cought spraying 6-BA and KT on leaves caused activity of a -amylase in flour increased compared with CK2. The effect of 6-BA is stronger than that of KT. The effect of 6-BA and KT on Jin wheat-33 was stronger than that of ii wheat-38; (4) Drought made fatty acid value of Jin wheat-33 and ii wheat-38 increased compared with CK1. Under the condition of drought spraying 6-BA and KT on leaves caused fatty acid value in flour decreased compared with CK2. The effect of 6-BA was stronger than that of KT. The effect of 6-BA and KT on Jin wheat-33 was similar to that of ii wheat-38. (5) Under the condition of drought spraying 6-BA and KT on leaves caused content of fat in flour slightly increased, between CKI and CK2. The effect of 6-BA and KT on un wheat-33 wassimilar to that of Ji wheat-38; (6) Content of crude ash in the flour from 4 treatments of Jin wheat-33 was very similar and content of crude ash in the flour from 4 treatments of Ji wheat-38 was very similar too. They attained criterion of China first grade flour; (7) Drought made content of Ca in flour decreased compared with CKI. Under the condition of drought spraying 6-BA and KT on leaves caused content of Ca2~ increased compared with CK2. Effect of KT was stronger than that of 6-BA. The effect of 6-BA and KT on .Jin wheat-33 was similar to that of Ji wheat-38. (8) 6-BA and KT treatment could raise weight of 1000 grains and yield...
