A mathematical model for seed motion has been established and by which a simulation software has been exploited based on the fundamental of the 2BQM? plastic mulch pneumatic precision planter. A computerized simulation of the variable parameters for seed metering device's working process is realized and the judging principle for the extreme value of the implement?s forward speed is proposed in this paper. The result obtained from the simulation and analysis of the effect of the structural factors of the seed metering device (the radius R of seeding drum, the radius r on which the seed Suction holes are distributed; seed drop angle 8 and bias angle EL? and the forward speed V of the planter on the seed dropping process shows that each of the parameters exerts own influence on the seeding performance in a different way among which the most evident influences are resulted from the forward speed of planter V ; seed drop angle 0 ; and the bias angle φ. The deficiency of this software is in that the simplification of random factors seems to be a bit more and the simulation effectiveness will be impaired. The workstation used for this software is the WINDOWS 98 and the programming language is VISUAL C++ 6.0 which is simple in operation and convenient for user's manipulation since the interface design adopts human/machine communication.
