This study was designend to evaluate the effect of Anti-stress Complex Additive (VC, VE,GABA, KHCO3) on beef cattle resistanting to stress14-months cross beef cattles (n=16;BM=430±20kg) were randomly divided into four groups: A(fed with Complex Additive andtransported); B(fed with Complex Additive but without transported); C(fed without ComplexAdditive but transported); D(fed without Complex Additive and no transported). Fist, each cattlefed with VC4g/d, VE2g/d, GABA1.2g/d, KHCO36g/d, Once-daily Complex Additive weresupplied for seven days, Then, cattles were transported for eight hours(50~60km/h), Thetemperature was2℃andthe relative humidity was51%. Last, cytokines, hormones, HSP70mRNA and HSP70protein were measured.The results are as follows:(1)Effects of anti-stress composite additives on related cytokines of cattle under simulatedtransport stress.IL-2level of group C were significantly higher (P<0.05) than that of groups A, B and D;IL–4and IL-10level of that of group A and C were significantly lower (P<0.05) than that ofgroups B and D, At the same time, group A were significantly higher (P<0.05) than that of groupC;TNF-α level of group A and C were significantly lower (P<0.05) than that of groups B and D.(2)Effects of anti-stress composite additives on ACTH and GC of cattle under simulatedtransport stress.ACTH level of group A and C were significantly higher (P<0.05) than that of groups BandD, while group A were significantly lower (P<0.05) than that of group C; GC level of group Cwere significantly higher (P<0.05) than that of groups B and D.(3)Effects of anti-stress composite additives on HSP70mRNA and HSP70protein expressionlevel of cattle under simulated transport stress.HSP70mRNA expression of group A and C were significantly higher than that of groups Band D,while group A were significantly lower (P<0.05) than that of group C; HSP70proteinexpression of groups Aand C were significantly higher (P<0.05) thanthat of groups B and D.There was indication that Transportation of eight hours can cause beef cattle’s stressreaction, which affect the body’s immune system; while Anti-stress additive can alleviate suchbeef cattle’s stression caused by transportation.
