Minibus vehicle body is a key part of a whole bus, which has a major impact on security, economy, power and comfort of a whole vehicle. In the design phase of minibus body, analyzing the body structure stiffness characteristics, strength properties and body model accurately is a very important step, which can help shorten the product development cycle, improve performance, quality and reliability, and also reduce development costs.This paper studies a domestic minibus body, establishes minibus of vehicle body geometric model by using finite element software, and summarizes some simple methods, and then sets up finite element model of vehicle body by steps, lastly, carries out body stiffness, strength properties and modal analysis.The thesis formulates a standard method of finite element stiffness analysis of minibus vehicle body on the basis of finite element stiffness analysis of minibus vehicle body. Large opening deformations of body is an important index of stiffness, calculates the change of diagonal length and warp of large opening in the condition of bending and reversing, then judges the deformation of large opening according to the changes. Strength of minibus body can affect its lifespan directly, this article determines whether strength of minibus body has meet basic design requirements or not by the result of above-mentioned finite element stiffness analysis. Conducts modal analysis on minibus body finite element model by using finite element software, and evaluates the structure of body according to the results.This paper has important reference value in solving problem of finite element analysis of minibus body both in theory and practice.
