It's well known that the performance of auto electric appliances is very important for the automobile's safety and reliability. But some auto electric appliances will be damaged due to vibration during long term driving. In order to avoid it, vibration reliability test need to be done for the auto electric appliances. And the fixture system is needed to fix the auto electrical system in a vibration table, and to transfer the exciting force from vibration table to the electrical system. So the transfer characteristics of fixture system directly affect the accuracy and reliability of the test. To make entire test system effectively working, it is necessary to do dynamic design for the fixture system, so that they can get good vibration characteristics, and to ensure that it can be accurately manufactured and installed.In this paper,based on summing up the latest research results of international fixture design and optimization design, and the predecessors' research of vibration reliability test for auto electrical system, initial fixture model was established, which was aimed at the characteristics of vibration test fixture and design requirements of this project, and considered overall layout of auto electrical system. Dynamic design method was used to analyze and optimize the dynamic characteristics of initial model, such as quality, natural frequency, center of gravity, so reasonable model was obtained, and its actual object was carried out an experimental modal analysis, and the result was shown that its dynamic characteristics are in line with requirements of the vibration test.In this article, the whole design process of fixture system has been completed, including initial design thought, selection of fixture structures, conceptual design, establishing the model, determining the scope of dynamic characteristic parameters, structural dynamic design and the experimental modal analysis. According to the design process, the fixture system for this test was designed and manufactured, which has been successfully applied to vibration reliability test of a car's electric appliances.
