On the basis of a review of state-of-the-art on driving cycles, this thesis proposed a data collection methodology for developing driving cycles firstly.Then, the research conducted the data collection of vehicles' driving modes in Hefei by a combined use of AM-2600s System and AM-400 System, which further were used to develop an database of driving cycles for classified roads in Hefei.On the basis of the dates which are collected in the real road driving test,20 parameters are defined. Principal component analysis and spss are used to choose the most important parameters from the 20.10 parameters of the the most importants ones are choosen to construct the vehicle driving cycle of he fei in tradition ways.And the vehicle driving cycle of he fei was compared with the standard testing driving cycles and the vehicle driving cycles of other cities in china.The results show that ECE15 is not suilable to be used as the testing driving cycles of china directly and it is very possible to construct the vehicle driving cycle which can be suitable to be used in all of china.
