The Design And Research Of China's Urban Residential Building Entrance Space

As the accelerating process of chinese urbanization, residential demand is on the increase, therefor,increase housing supply has become the primary means for resolving the conflict between residential supply and demand.Although great progress has been made in the residential design, both in outdoor public environment and in indoor living space, but the designers generally ignore the entrance space that is must past from outdoor to door. In this paper, the need, significance and design principle of entrance space for Chinese Urban Residential Building has been demonstrated detailedly, in order to provide need inspiration and referrence for real estate developers and designers, also provide some basic theoretical support to the development of housing industry, accordingly ultimately improve the inhabitation condition and quality. This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is generality, the second chapter demonstrates the need of residential entrance space from the residential, psychological and behavioral demand , the third chapter analyzes the different types and significance of entrance space from the origin of ancient chinese residential entrance through Example, the fourth chapter sums up the design technique and principles from different form of our modern urban residential entrance space, the fifth chapter cites some typical examples to analyse the form of modern urban residential entrance space, and the conclusion looks forward to the future of urban residential entrance space.
