With the rapid development of economy in our country, high-rise buildings and ultra-high-rise buildings increase. More and more underground spaces are used for underground parking place, subway station, transformer substation, civilian work. Therefore, deep excavation engineering becomes absolutely necessary. The safety and stability of deep excavation engineering should be considered in the design and construction. Moreover, the effect on adjacent buildings, buried pipelines and roads induced by engineering is not ignored. Deep excavation may result in the crack and incline of buildings, settlement of road and distortion of pipelines, even the collapse of building and casualty of workers. In a word, deep excavation engineering is high risk engineering. The accidents induced by deep excavation will not only delay the time limit for a project, but also induce bad society affection. Consequently, the study on the risk management of deep excavation engineering has high engineering practice value. The studies of the paper consist of the following parts:(1) The characteristics and the key contents of deep excavation engineering were studied. The destroy mechanism was discussed too.(2) The characteristics and measures of risk management of deep excavation engineering were studied. Then the deficiency and trend were presented.(3) The safety control and long-distance monitoring system of deep excavation engineering were studied.(4) The details of the risk management of deep excavation engineering were introduced by means of an engineering example. Finally, further studies on the research were discussed briefly.
