The Research Of Traditional Theater Building In Hubei Province

Music and opera is developed in Hubei province since ancient times, and a lot of elegant and profound operas are remained. The wide variety of theater buildings was emerged from the rich folk music, dance and opera. Theater buildings are the physical carrier of traditional culture of opera, the spiritual core of the culture of opera was revealed and the blank of the study of the area of architectural history was filled through the deep study for the theater buildings.Because of historical reasons, the damage of traditional theater buildings is very serious. According to the verifiable data, about 40 theater buildings are remained, which are scattered in whole Hubei province. These buildings are built in Ming or Qing dynasty, and the species is very rich, such as the temple theater, clubhouse theater, house theater, ancestral temple theater and open-air theater and so on, which are valuable historical and cultural heritage in Hubei Province.The traditional theater buildings in Hubei province was researched systematically, cited for examples and simulated by computer for the acoustic environment, the architecture forms, decoration and construction, performance spaces and acoustic environment was researched which was combined by the interaction between theater buildings and opera performance, the advanced and rich development history, architecture landscape, acoustic environment and opera culture was displayed, and the research of acoustic environment will be referenced by the architecture design and acoustic design for Chinese nation theater buildings.
