| Reactive power balance and voltage control is an important guarantee for keeping power grid working in a reliable,economic and high-quality situation. With the development of Ultra-High Voltage transmission lines,Extra-High Voltage compact transmission lines and cable lines, capacitive charging of transmission lines increases significantly and power flow changes greatly, which makes reactive power balance and voltage control become a vital issue of power grid to be solved. Compared with traditional reactive power compensation devices, magnetic valve thyristor controller reactor could adjust reactive power continuously, reduce capabilities of reactive power compensation, depress over voltage in operation over current at power frequency and secondary arc current, it also could promote transmission capacity of grid power, reduce transmission loss, improve the safety and stability of grid power. Because of reasonable price, it owns a great comprehensive prospect especially in areas which change great between flood season and dry season, peak and low valley.This thesis reviews the development of controller reactor, introduces advantage and disadvantage of magnetic valve thyristor controller reactor and its application. This thesis also creates a fitting algorithm of excitation curve adapted to magnetic valve thyristor controller reactor. The generation of its simulation model is based on deduction and analysis of its mathematic model,. Finally, this thesis embodies one of power transmission from west to east project, analysis voltage regulation effect and over voltage depression effect of magnetic valve thyristor controller reactor in compact transmission lines. |
