The main contents are as follows:As for the research on aesthetic characteristics of restaurant buildings, this paper discusses it in three themes: First, the architectural forms and Decorative techniques with which mixed Chinese and Western culture reflect the Conflict and integration between these two different cultures. Second, revolve around the architecture characteristics such as openly architectural plane, transparent space and elegant color to find out their architecture patterns of regional adaptation. Third, as the restaurant-buildings are combining with landscape while also in harmony with environment, they fully show that the Lingnan architects'design is respect for nature and dare to"start the trend of the first".Canton Garden-Restaurants contain very rich cultural connotation, which have a close relationship with urban development of Guangzhou as well as Cantonese culture. And natives'aesthetic ideals, values even ethics are all projecting on them too. This paper tries to summarize several major cultural features that Garden Restaurants have——secular enjoyment, closed to mass, rational and pragmatic, opening-up and compatibility. All these features show that Canton Garden-Restaurants have both refined and popular taste, Natural interest pursuit, think highly of credit and so on. Finally, the paper is trying to figure out the common feature between Canton Garden-Restaurants and Lingnan culture in order to play some role on deepening the connotation of Lingnan culture and enriching the culture details.Although the Garden-restaurants stand a long period, they are still shinning remarkably in the changing times by reason of their unique charm.
