Throttle is an important control part of automotive engine, the main use of throttle is to control the air entering the engine cylinders. The greater the throttle opens, the more the fuel mixture gets into the engine cylinder, the higher the engine speed is. Engine speed control can be achieved by changing the opening level of the throttle.Throttle has many performance indicators such as air flow performance, the electrical torque, sensor linearity, transient resistance mutations and reaction time and so on. The performance of the throttle is directly related to the fuel-efficient and security of the automobile and reaction time is one of the most important indexes of the throttle. Therefore, the research on throttle reaction time performance is great significance.First of all, the function of the electronic throttle, together with its structure and working principle are introduced. the design requirements of this test bed are also proposed, including its structure, function, test parameters and test tasks.Then, in accordance with the design requirements, the overall scheme of the test -bench is designed:the software of the test system is based on C++ Builder object-oriented development environment, with test-driven devices and NI's PCI-6259 data acquisition card, simulating the ECU conditions and the setting cycling mod to control the power supply and output control signal, several different temperature response time of data acquisition is completed. This can realizes the test evaluation of the throttle. At the same time, the hardware and software sub-modules are described separately in this paper.Finally, the test and results is treatised. The results show that control module can control the action of the throttle valve well, acquisition module can collect test parameters accurately and PC monitoring software can analyze and manage the test data effectively.
