Research On The Properties Of Fly Ash Asphalt Mixture (AC-16)

Fly ash is dust discharged by power plant when it is working. If fly ash can be used as stone powder in asphalt mixture production, well the properties of asphalt mixture is still good, the research work will contribute to our country in the field of industrial waste regeneration and environment protection, So that we must research fly ash asphalt mixture.Research work of (AC-16) asphalt mixture instead of every kind of asphalt mixture will be introduced in this paper, because it is the most popular asphalt mixture that is widely used in the pavement of primary road. Firstly (AC-16) asphalt mixture design is carried out, then tests of (AC-16) asphalt mixture highway properties in order to research the influence of fly ash on Marshal stability test index and high temperature stability of asphalt mixture as well as low temperature stability and property of water stability.It is proved in this paper that fly ash asphalt mixture is better than stone powder asphalt mixture as for high temperature stability, well is worse with low temperature stability. Properties of asphalt mixture will not change sharply when the quantity of fly ash is changed just a little.
